James Johnson
Manager of Information Services

In October 2023, Clerk Heidi Kuhn appointed James Johnson as the Manager of Information Systems for the Criminal Court Clerk’s Office, after having served the previous Clerk from 2016- 2018. 

James joined Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk’s Office in 2016 after graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with his Master’s in Management of Information Systems.   He returns to the County after working for the judicial software conversion team at Tyler Technologies.

James is a devoted husband, loving father of two boys, a brother of Delta Chi Fraternity, a US Army Veteran with multiple overseas tours, and a devout San Diego Padres Fan.
