The Criminal Court Clerk’s Office was created by the Constitution of the State of Tennessee: to maintain the records of Shelby County Criminal Courts; to collect fines and costs assed by the courts; to provide service to the courts, the criminal justice system and the citizens of Shelby County; and to ensure efficient processing of Court orders, thereby protecting the constitutional rights of citizens of Shelby County. The Criminal Court Clerk, an elected official of Shelby County, is entirely responsible for the management of that office.
