Expungement clinic gives chance to clear non-violent charges from record
The Criminal Court Clerk’s Office hosted our 19th expungement clinic at Oak Grove M.B. Church. Over 250 people attended, where they learned whether they were eligible for an expungement with Criminal Court and General Sessions Criminal Court, and were able to attend the job fair with job opportunities with FedEx Ground, MATA, and First Student. We also had the City of Memphis Drive While You Pay program and NAACP providing voter’s registration. Thank you to Pastor Donald Johnson and the volunteer staff from the church for your assistance.

World Down Syndrome Day
The Criminal Court Clerk’s Office celebrated World Down Syndrome Day by wearing blue and yellow, and crazy socks. World Down Syndrome Day is a global awareness initiative that has been backed by the United Nations since 2012. It has been spearheaded by Down Syndrome International, which has linked up with national charities across the world to develop activities and events to raise awareness and support for those living with Down Syndrome and highlight how those with Down Syndrome have, and continue to play, a vital role in our communities.
