Expungement Success Story
This is Brynley and she received an expungement at one of the Criminal Court Clerk’s Expungement Clinics last year. She is one of many Drug Court participants who have received an expungement and she wanted to thank me in person. She had four charges expunged, she secured employment and will graduate the Drug Court Program in February 2024. Congratulations Brynley, we are so proud of you and wish you continued success!
Volunteering at MIFA

Clerk Kuhn and the Criminal Court Administration Team volunteered with the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA) Meals on Wheels program.
In 2023 alone, MIFA’s Meals on Wheels program has served over 737,865 meals to 4,418 seniors. The volunteers deliver more than a meal; they also provide a social connection and a lifeline to the community. When surveyed in fiscal year 2023, clients reported the following: 96% eat healthier foods because of the program, 91% believe the program helps them feel better, and 90% believe the program helps them.
MIFA also provides services such as utility, rent, and mortgage assistance for Shelby County households who have lost income or experienced a recent crisis. MIFA’s family programs provide basic services to prevent homelessness, stabilize families, and encourage independence.
If you or someone you know needs to get in contact with MIFA, you can call them at 901-527-0208.
