Criminal Court Clerk's Office to Host 35th Expungement Clinic

The Criminal Court Clerk’s Office will host its 35th Expungement Clinic and Community Resource Fair on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church - Broad, located at 2835 Broad Ave., Memphis, TN 38112.


The event is free and open to the public. Individuals with Shelby County offenses can check their eligibility for expungement and begin or complete the process while accessing employment, education, training, and community resources.

Shelby County Expands Criminal Courts to 11 Divisions with Passage of HB1268

Shelby County’s criminal court system will expand from 9 to 11 divisions following the passage of HB1268, restoring Division IX and adding a new criminal court to meet growing caseload demands.

 

The divisions are expected to open on September 1, 2026. The judges will be appointed by the governor and will serve until the next election in 2028.
